Instructions
Instructions
- Hard-boil eggs, then let them cool.
- Make natural dyes. In a large saucepan, bring to a boil four cups of water, superfood powder and three tablespoons of vinegar. Allow to simmer for 30 minutes or longer for a more rich color. When the dye is a few shades darker than desired, remove from heat and allow to cool.
- Decorate with botanical prints. Choose a selection of flowers, leaves, herbs and other beautiful nature finds.
- Working one egg at a time, place nature find onto egg. Gently press, then place on square of fabric over the leaf ensuring it doesn’t curl up in the process. Bundle the corners together and secure with string.
- Place the wrapped egg into chosen dye and leave for between 30 minutes to overnight, depending on color desired.
- Remove the eggs and cut off the fabric pouch. Try not to touch the egg to avoid smearing. Let the eggs dry completely on a baking rack and enjoy!
