Ingredients
- 2 lbs Chicken thighs or chicken breasts
Marinade
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp white wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp Green yogurt (full fat is best)
- 1 1/2 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- Black pepper
Serve With
- Tzatziki
- Salad greens
- Tomato, diced
- Cucumbers, diced
- Pita or flat bread (warmed lightly before serving)
Instructions
- Place marinade ingredients in a large ziplock bag and massage and mix. Add the chicken and massage to cover all of the chicken in the marinade. Marinate for at least 2-3 hours, ideally 12 hours and no longer than 24 hours
- After marinating chicken, heat 1 tbsp of oil in a fry pan over medium high heat. Remove chicken from Marinade. Cook the chicken for 3-5 minute on each side, until golden brown and cooked through—cooking time will vary depending on size of chicken
- Remove chicken from the pan and put onto a plate. If chicken thighs were large or if using chicken breast, you’ll need to cut chicken up
- Serve on a pita with salad greens, tomatoes, and cucumbers and top with your favorite Tzatziki sauce or make your own
